The zenith of a career

Grand Champion Excellent

While winning a BIS is the pinnacle of showing, a Grand Champion Excellent recognizes consistently excellent dogs that perform outside the confirmation ring as well. In order to earn a GChEx, after winning a CCh title, the dog needs to have won a BIS, three Group 1st and have earned a GCh Silver (before July 2021 requirement was for 100 points), and a CKC performance title from any CKC Event (certain titles excluded).

Beyond the Championship

Grand Champion

Dals who continue showing after finishing their Championship can work toward a Grand Champion title.  This requires that the Dal earns a minimum of 20 points, including two wins worth at least two points each.

Starting 1 July 2021, CKC added further GCh levels:  Bronze (50 points after completing GCh), Silver (100 points after completing Bronze) and Gold (200 points after completing Silver).
